Rhino-Rack Vortex Aero Crossbars Roof Rack Kit Installation - 2021 Jeep Wrangler- Video

Rhino-Rack Vortex Aero Crossbars Roof Rack Kit Installation - 2021 Jeep Wrangler

Hi everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer, And today I have the Rhino-Rack roof rack system with extra long crossbars, and we'll take a look at how it fits our 2021 Jeep Wrangler. If you wanna carry around fun accessories like maybe a roof box for more cargo space, or some kayaks, or even a roof mounted bike rack what you first need is a roof rack system. There are a bunch of different kits or roof racks for the Jeep Wrangler two-door version. This is actually my special recommendation kit because it has longer crossbars than what is usually recommended for this car. So measuring from the tower to right before that end cap, it's gonna be about 4 1/2 inches, 4 1/4 give or take how you set this up. That measurement is going to be helpful for if you want to clamp accessories to the tower, if you wanna maximize your crossbar space. more

Roadmaster Battery Charge Line Kit Installation - 2010 Jeep Wrangler- Video

Roadmaster Battery Charge Line Kit Installation - 2010 Jeep Wrangler

How's it going Ryan here at etrailer.com. Today on our 2010 Jeep Wrangler, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Roadmaster Battery Charge Line Kit for towed vehicles. Now the reason you're going to want to use a battery charge line kit is relatively simple. Your braking system is going to run off your battery power every time it activates, so over time that could potentially drain your battery. So as opposed to having to worry about stopping every few hours while you're on the road to start your Jeep up to let your battery charge back up, what the charge line kit is going to do is more or less take some power from the back of your motor home's seven way plug and trickle charge or maintain your battery. That way whenever you get to your destination, you're going to have a full battery and not have to worry about getting a jumpstart or borrow some jumper cables from somebody else. And some of our customers have asked if the charge line kit is going to affect the motor home's batteries, and the answer is no and that's because as you're driving your motor home down the road, the motor batteries are constantly going to be charging from the vehicle's alternator. And since this uses so little current or voltage, it's not going to affect those batteries at all.So overall really simple, straightforward component that's going to eliminate the need for you to lug around jumper cables or have to worry about getting a jumpstart and not having to pull over every few hours to start up your Jeep and let your battery charge. more

Roadmaster Automatic Battery Disconnect Installation - 2011 Jeep Wrangler- Video

Roadmaster Automatic Battery Disconnect Installation - 2011 Jeep Wrangler

Shane: Hi, I'm Shane with etrailer.com. Today, I'm going to walk you through how I installed Roadmaster Automatic Battery Disconnect for Vehicles with Supplemental Braking Systems. Some vehicles will require the automatic battery disconnect. The reason is, is you have to have a key in the on position, put the car in tow mode. But if you don't disconnect the battery, what happens is while the braking system is on and applying the brakes, if you don't disconnect the battery, it could potentially throw codes in the vehicle and the vehicle will act up while it's being towed. So, this system is actually going to allow you to disconnect the battery once you put your vehicle in tow mode. What's nice about this setup is each time you want to flat tow, so we're not going to have to get out, disconnect the positive battery cable to flat tow it, get where we're going, and then reconnect our battery. This has a button we mount inside the vehicle, allows us to push that button, automatically disconnects it. It's going to be our battery disconnect solenoid. more

Roadmaster Automatic Battery Disconnect Installation - 2014 Jeep Wrangler

Ryan: Hey everybody, Ryan here at etrailer.com. Today on our 2014 Jeep Wrangler, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Roadmaster Automatic Battery Disconnect.Whenever you're flat towing your 2014 Jeep it is required that we disconnect the battery, that way it doesn't drain when we're going down the road and leave you stranded once you get to your destination. And that's where our switch comes into play. That's going to allow us to easily disconnect or connect it without ever even having to open the hood. What I really like about this one, once we have our cables, and our solenoid installed, we're not going to have to mess with anymore unlike some of the other styles out there today. Now our solenoid, this is actually going to control our power, and either keep a closed circuit for full battery power or open it to keep it disconnected. What actually controls that solenoid, is a push button right here in the dash. Now it's going to be super simple to power on or off our battery. more

This plug has a wider mounting point of one inch between tabs and 7/8ths diameter lug pins.As you can see here on our two bar, this adapter here is not going to fit on the after market bumper that our Jeep has on it. Roadmaster Battery Charge Line Kit Installation - 2015 Jeep Wrangler- Video

Roadmaster Battery Charge Line Kit Installation - 2015 Jeep Wrangler

Today on our 2015 Jeep Wrangler we'll be having a look at and installing the Road Master battery charge line kit for towed vehicles, part number RM-156-25. Here's what our charge line kit looks like installed. This kit will allow our motor home to charge our battery in our vehicle when it's being flat towed behind it. This way we don't have to worry about having a dead battery in our Jeep when we arrive at our destination when we're Rving. Now the reason you want this particular kit is if you have a portable braking system inside your vehicle when it's flat towed to apply the brakes in it, and it uses the vehicle's battery to supply power to it versus the motor home, your battery will be run down when it's in tow mode behind your RV. This will prevent that from happening and you'll have a fully charged battery when you arrive at your destination, so when you unhook you can easily start it and go explore around where you're at. It's a simple two wire installation with just one circuit breaker that you need to install. more

Blue Ox Replacement Breakaway Switch Installation - 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited

Today on our 2015 Jeep Wrangler we'll be having a look at and installing the Blue Ox Second Vehicle Breakaway Kit for Blue Ox Patriot Supplemental Breaking System, part number BRK2505. All right, here's what our breakaway switch looks like installed. As you can see, it'll give us our necessary breakaway functions, even comes with the lanyard to attach to your motor home. This is an ideal solution for if you want to flat tow a second vehicle and only have one braking system share between the two. You can leave your breakaway switch permanently attached on each vehicle and just swap the unit in between the two. Additionally, this kit is also a great solution to fix a damaged or broken breakaway switch. This will allow your brakes to be applied in your towed vehicle when the pin is pulled in the unfortunate incident of your towed vehicle becoming unhooked from your RV. more

Roadmaster Single Park Light Diode Installation - 2003 Jeep Wrangler- Video

Roadmaster Single Park Light Diode Installation - 2003 Jeep Wrangler

Today on this 2003 Jeep Wrangler, we're going to install part number RM-690. This is the Roadmaster Single Park Light Diode. The idea behind these diodes is to prevent any backfeed from the towed vehicle going up to the RV. Typically this is used on the running light circuit where the power from the towed vehicle will backfeed up into the RV. Now we're actually going to use it for a little bit different application. In this situation, our Jeep has a after-market supplemental braking system installed and it provides backfeed in that fashion. We need to install two diodes to prevent backfeed going up to the RV and we'll show you the problem at the front of our Jeep here. With our Jeep in tow mode running behind the RV, we'll go ahead and check with the brake pedal being pushed down. more
